Brand: | MBO |
Model: | 800DX |
Type: | Plain calculator |

Batteries: | AA x 4 |

Introduced: 1974 Terminated: unknown |
Notes: |
At the back of this calculator there is a metal plate. It used
to display its original brand and type, it is
actually the mikamo TINY 800. It
also displays its operating instructions, but now MBO is stamped
over it in bold dark letters together with the type of
batteries required.
Anyway, it is an 8-digit calculator with a fluorescent display. It doesn’t have a power switch, it has two buttons to switch it on and off, the two round buttons top left. It has the standard four functions, plus the percentage operator, a key for changing the sign, and memory. A nice detail: all four AA batteries are facing the same way, the battery shapes are drawn as tracks on the device’s PCB. The battery cover is missing on my MBO 800DX unfortunately. |
