This 12 digit calculator has a screen that can be tilted. The
purpose of this design decision escapes me, it manly makes the
calculator fragile. In fact one of the segments on this specimen
was already starting to misbehave. The LCD ribbon was already
getting loose at both ends where it is glued to the PCB. This
could be "fixed" by placing a cut part of a Post-it note to apply some
pressure.
The GT key is nice. It displays the Grand Total of all performed calculations that were done after the last time the AC key was pressed. Take care not to type too many numbers. When you accidentally enter 13 numbers on this 12 digit calculator it will error out. It is unclear to me what the MU key does. It doesn’t seem to do anything but my guess is it is a "markup" function. The battery is in the lower part of the calculator. |
