The CITIZEN 810R calculator is a basic function calculator with an
9-digit fluorescent display with memory and the
percentage function. One of the digits is used as a status indicator.
Its memory function, which can be switched on and off using a slider, adds all calculation’s results. Readout the grand total using the RM key. Clear its contents using the CM key. The other slider sets the calculator’s accuracy:
It runs on four rechargeable NiCad batteries, held together as a pack as can
be seen here, connected to the calculator with two soldered wires. But in
contrary to most other calculators where the battery pack is hidden inside the
calculator and quite often glued, this pack is hidden behind a normal
and screw less battery compartment. Even so, it is not user replaceable because
soldering is required. Naturally the pack was leaky and had to be removed.
To run on batteries, slide the power slider on the left to DC. To run on the power adapter whilst also charging the batteries set it to AC. |
