Brand: | CASIO |
Model: | fx-31 |
Type: | Scientific calculator |
Picture: | |
Batteries: | AA x 2 |
Lifetime: |
Introduced: ca. 1976 Terminated: unknown |
Notes: |
This CASIO scientific calculator has a fluorescent display, and a
slider to switch between modes. The display has no marker to
indicate that a number is stored in the calculator’s memory so
it’s up to the user to remember this. Other than that, the display
does show minute/second marks.
This calculator (as do many other CASIO scientific calculators) uses one and the same key for both the constant π as well as exponents. This works as follows. When you first enter digits, the EXP key will enable you to enter the exponent, otherwise it will enter the constant π. Many thanks to my father-in-law Joop Berck, for donating this nice calculator to the museum. Joop unfortunately is no longer with us and is deeply missed. |
